Thanks to a generous $5,000 grant from the CenterPoint Energy Foundation, EHRP is expanding our entrepreneurship certification course--empowering women at the Harris County Womens Empowerment Center to build businesses after incarceration. As part of this expansion, we launched the Entrepreneur Certification Program, designed specifically for justice-impacted women. Within the first two weeks of launch, over 1,700 students enrolled, demonstrating strong demand for accessible, skills-based entrepreneurship education in correctional settings.
This milestone represents a significant step in scaling our mission and increasing access to education that supports successful reentry and long-term economic stability.

On February 11, 2026, EntrepreneuHER Reentry Program will receive a $5,000 grant award from the CenterPoint Energy Foundation in support of our entrepreneurship and financial literacy programming for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women.
The check presentation will take place at the Harris County Jail – Women’s Empowerment Center, recognizing the impact of our pilot programming and our commitment to expanding workforce development and reentry education.
This support will help strengthen program delivery, participant resources, and post-release support for women transitioning back into the community.
